END OF WATCH: The Clayton County Police Department is saddened to hear of the death of Henry County Police Department Officer Michael Smith.

The seven-year veteran of the department was shot in the line of duty on Dec. 6, 2018 and died from his injuries on Dec. 28, 2018.

The Clayton County Department sends our deepest condolences to Officer Smith’s family, friends and fellow officers.
